The Rockets have reloaded this offseason and are really looking for a serious postseason run. With Yao, Tmac, Francis, Bonzi, and even Luis Scola of Argentina, not to mention an intact cast of role players from last year, Houston is looking pretty strong.

The Spurs have mostly the same team from last year so far, and it is an aging team. However, this is a team that had the oldest lineup last year and still managed to capture the title. The Spurs may be the best executing team in the NBA. They are also among the most adaptable teams, able to play both slow and fast. They also have one of the best defenses in the league. Their offense is no slouch either. The Big Three are still in their prime and their role players are vets who fit seamlessly into the team concept.

The Rockets have more question marks. They have a new coach and will probably be playing in a new system for the 1st time. There is also the question of whether the all these players will play well together.

I believe that SA has the edge due to experience and better team chemistry. The Rockets have the talent to make it really close though. Of course the off season is not over yet and both teams can still make moves.

The Rockets will be better because of the inside/ outside game that they'll run at a much more uptempo style. Theres a reason the athletic knucklehead Francis, the hustling James, and the rook Aaron Brooks are in the mix. Trust me, with an agile Scola and a in-shape Bonzi wells the Rockets will overpower many teams with their athleticism and endurance. When you factor in one of( if not) the best centers in the game today, in Yao Ming this team is will be hard to stop. Dont foget that guys like Battier bring a lot to the table. I'm thinking that Rafer will be a goner as soon as they can get a real deal done. Lucas is certainly gone. Novak can add dead eye shooting but he and the very athletic and versatile Kirk Snyder may also be dealt. I like the Rockets core players. It will be hard for any team to matchup with TMac, Yao, and Scola alone. Battier, James, Francis, Wells are all key cogs in the grand scheme of things. When you take any of the 2 and add them to the big 3 mentioned earlier, it's a nightmare for the opposition. Look at the bench stregnth now, you have atleast 2 players on the bench who could start on this team or any other team. The Rockets are going to ROLL over the West this year. BY THE WAY, the Spurs are going to have more than a few problems this year....for one Tony Parkers marriage will come into play......mark my word. Longoria-Parker is a real female dog, all of a sudden everyone has forgotten that she stirred up some crap and aired their dirty laundry and called off their courtship before. The broad is a drama queen......IT WILL effect the team. Finley is worn out. He isnt as good as he was 4 years ago. Bowens, Barry, Horry, and Vaughn are getting up their in age. Unless Ginobili shows more consistency this year, the Spurs will only have Duncan as the one constant on either end of the floor. Again, Parker who is a stud in my book, will have an up and down year. The questioning will start, the aging stars(?)/players issues will arise....the next thing you have a team in turmoil. The Rockets will beat the Suns to win the west. If San Antonio makes the playoff they'll go home in the first round. Laugh now, the Rockets will laugh later.

Houston, lemme explain why:

1 - Olajuwon has been givin Yao advice and has been working out with him so Yao is gonna be even BETTER than he was last year, and he was pretty damn good last year.

2 - Mcgrady aint messing around no more man! He NEEDS to get out of the first round next year so he is gonna be killing them next year.

3 - Houston has so many key role players. We have Wells (who DESTROYED the Spurs 2 years ago in the post season) Battier (a coaches dream) Francis (If McGrady gets hurt, i beleive he can go back to that player he was a few years ago) Mike James (Can score and can play the PG pretty good) Scola (Tha PF we didnt have last year) Hayes (sort of a mini Shane) Head (3 point threat) and so on and so forth.

4 - The Rockets will be playing a different type of ball from last year, we were like the Spurs last year, this year we will be more like the Suns. With Francis, James, Mcgady, we have 3 guys who can score & set up people.

5 - The Spurs have gotten a year older and i dont think they can repeat. It was a long post season (except the Finals of course) for the vets. Plus if it wasnt for Sternbot suspending Diaw & Amare, the Suns wouldve won that series, and everyone & they MOMMA know that.

6 - Houston is due.

My prediction is that the Spurs will take this one. Houston is down an significant participant in Tracy McGrady. Houston would be lacking loads of scoring ability. in spite of the shown fact that, Houston's protection will nevertheless be stable besides San Antonio's. it particularly is going to likely be a low scoring interest.
