It might be true that Greece would lose the next ten games against the US. This is not the point. The point is that the tournament has the nock out rules and you have to play according to them. If you do not like them you should not have entered it in the first place.



I am Greek and I want to congradulate the Spanish for a very good a game. They deserved the Gold and I wish them all the best to the next tournament. Simply today they were the best.



As for insulting Greece is a real pitty. Hellas is the real name of our country and you should repsect that. At least our players stayed in the court to congradulate the winners. You see the reall winners know how to loose from time to time and acknowledge the superiority of the oponent. Why did the US team was not in the nomination of the medals but received them alone? This is the first time happening.



I am really proud of my team and from the fact that all Greeks now celebrate the silver medal and the good effort made.

I am Greek and very disappointed but I am also very happy for our team...Greece was never suppose to make it this far and also they still beat the favorite of the team of the tournament which is USA.And I will tell you what happen.First of all Greece got out coached...Spain came in with a great game plan which involved making sure they had pressure D right in the beginning of the game so they can jump out quick on a quick lead.Also Spain had a game plan to take baby shaq out of the game...every time he checked in Mark Gasol checked in to guard him.Spain played great defense not allowing Greece any easy baskets.And the last thing I will say is that they got drunk with overconfidence after they beat the USA.Just like the USA were overconfident when they played Greece.

That 1 time that Greece beated USA out of the 10 prevented USA from going to the finals and that satisfies me.You have to wait another 2 years for such a championship and then i wish that someone else will do what Greece did this year.
