Question:
Last draft the talk was all about greg Oden. People were already claiming he was headed to the hall of fame.?

Do you guys think he is over rated especially since he has not even played one sec in the nba. I said before the draft this guy was over hyped like david carr, and like another great trailblazer number 1 draft pick sam bowie. is he gonna live up to all the hype or disappear like big country reeves?

I agree I said the same thing. I think he will be ok but no where near what a number one draft pick should be. He will be injured through out his career.

He is going to live up to all the hype...

Remember, he did VERY well @ the championship game and he dominated Noah, Horford who were both drafted in the top 11...

Also, he has put on a lot of muscle. Reason being is because he never was able to work out at Ohio St. due to the wrist injury...

I expect Oden to be a BIG TIME impact, and if hes healthy...the number 1 center in the league.

"I don't see him being a HOF player because I think he will have several injuries in the future. Few actually recover from microfracture surgery. From last season he is definitely overrated but I think he will make a good Center. Just not great. He will definitely be a defensive force but I don't think he can be good offensively. But he definitely won't be as bad as David Carr. That requires a lot of incapability. Comes from a suffered Texans fan."

Uh, Amare came back just fine and Oden has had more time to heal...

If you people really think he will just be a OK center you are dumb by all means...he is compared to Bill Russell and David Robinson for a reason...

Who knows? A lot of great players have come out of college and not had the kind of impact that was held by peoples expectations. Your talking about a guy that hasn't hardly played a minute, and is already having injury problems? Will this become a pattern? (ie Grant Hill, Anfernee Hardaway,......)

Great players, with injury riddled careers. I hope Greg Oden all the best, but Hall of Fame talk is a little PREMATURE, don't you think?

Oden said he wont be a 100% healthy for 1 or 2 more years.

So who really knows what kind of player he will be.With that

kind of injury you never can tell

Some ppl think he's the real deal but the right word is hope not think he is.

Olden wasn't drafted on the last draft. It's still remain to be seen what he can do. It's tough to say since he was injure even before starting his pro career but we should give him time to see if he can play.

A little bit overrated, but barring continuous injuries, he could turn into a 15-10 type of guy.
