Question:
Does John Paxon have the balls to trade for Kobe?

It's obviously going to take a lot, could he depart with loul deng, ben gordan, or tyrus thomas maybe even nocioni. I don't think it's worth it unless it's the number 9 pick, wallace, gordan, and duhon or keep duhon and the 9 pick and pick up conley in the draft if he's still their and give them hinrich

I think he has the balls to NOT trade for Kobe, even if that's what the fans think they want. He has done quite a commendable job as Bulls GM, and I don't expect he'll throw that away just to get Cancer Gun in a trade.

If you look at the playoffs this year before they started the bulls were a way better team than the Cavs. The Cavs edged the number 2 seed from the bulls by 1 game. I think if the Bulls and Cavs would have met in the eatern conference finals the bulls would have won that series. All I am saying is the bulls have grown into a good team infact a great team they don't need kobe because they have a deep bench. and with Wallace, Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, and Brown they can go far. They have their winning formula in the playoffs and they can make it to the finals. Their biggest threat is the Heat and the Pistons. If they just play one of the teams on their playoff run they can go far. You may say well they swept the heat, but the defending champs were recovering form injuries and D-wade wasn't himself. So basically Paxton has done a great job in the post jordan era, I wouldn't see a trade for kobe anytime soon.

Bulls can keep Tyrus Thomas. But they have to let go Luol Deng and Ben Gordon. Kobe Bryant has at least 6-7 more years. And with already a very good squad and in the East, the Bulls can win close games now, with Kobe Bryant. There is no one in the East can stop Kobe Bryant. So I think they have a much better chance of going to the Finals than Luol Deng and Ben Gordon.

Lakers can give up Luke Walton and Kobe Bryant.

Don't you think with Wallace, Kobe, Hinrich, and Thomas the Bulls should be able to make the finals in the East? Isn't that team far better than the Cavs. I make the deal immediately and plan to be in the finals at least 2 times in the next five years. I don't think you can say the same thing with the team right now.

Kobe really wants to play with a Steve Nash type of player so I don't see them trading Heinrich and Ben Gordon/Deng/Thomas are all rising super stars so I don't see much change next year to the bulls plus I think Kobe is getting a little old to be building a franchise around.

Lual Deng is off the table...so if this trade fantasy were to happen in my dream tonight as Laker fan, it would be more like Ben Gordon, Ben Wallace, Tyrus Thomas and #9 pick in exchange for Kobe and Kwami Brown. lol!!
what?

im sure he does, but if he had a brain he wouldnt. getting kobe would turn chicago in the the lakers of the east. kobe would screw up the chemistry there and chicago would give up a lot just for 1 player. kobe is not worth it.

I think hes too smart to trade for Kobe. He has got a good thing going with his young talent. No reason to ruin it for a ball hog.

did you mean to say "Is John Paxson stupid enough to trade for Kobe?". Is that what you meant? Balls and stupidity sometimes go hand in hand, but not in this case....

bringing kobe to the weak east would be brilliant one man has shown he can take a team deep in the east.
