Well, I would say you have an overall good list but........... what about more players from the ABA like

Marvin Barnes

Warren Jabali

John Williamson

Zelmo Beaty

Mel Daniels

Ralph Simpson.....(India Arie's Dad...YES that INDIA ARIE)

Ron Boone

& Mo Lucas.

I would also have considered Norm Nixon..(very underrated), Bob Love.....(my favorite Bull of all-time) & Kiki Vandeweghe.

I would also have Artis Gilmore in the top 50 over Bob Lanier...( just a suggestion)

...also I'd switch Karl Malone & Kobe Bryant....... while you're at it... switch Olajuwon & Shaquille O'Neal.

I'm a Bulls fan, so naturally ..(at first) I thought you were crazy to put Duncan ahead of my man MJ, but I have to admit....other than an old David Robinson(twice).... he's won 4 rings with some scrubs....(including beating Shaq & Kobe twice in their prime to get those rings.) The amazing thing is that the if not for a stupid play by Manu Ginobili and that lucky .4 shot that shouldn't have counted..... the Spurs would have won 6, including 5 in a row. I'd still put Jordan ahead of Duncan, but that's only because I love the Bulls. Scottie Pippen was the real MVP of the 1998 NBA Finals, just as Duncan was the real MVP of the 2007 NBA Finals. Pippen & Jordan were neck and neck as to who was the best player on the team during those last 3 title years, however, it's no question who the Spurs best player is.

I didn't know this, but Duncan is the only player in league history to have made an All-NBA and All-Defensive team every year for the first 10 years of his career...... not Shaq, Wilt, Jabbar, Jordan, Bird, Magic, The Big O....none except Tim Duncan.

If the Spurs win two more titles with Duncan as the leader, he makes a strong case for greatest player of all-time. If they win 3 more...... Duncan will be the best to ever play.

He's still very boring to watch.

Overall, I like your list. I'm glad you recognize that any player who's among the top 10 scorers in the history of the game should be ranked pretty high. .....only Wilt, Jabbar, Jordan, Karl Malone and The Doctor have scored more points that the legendary Dan Issel.

on a scale of 1 to 10, I give your list a solid 9.

I agree with Wilt Chamberlain as the greatest player. However to put Tim Duncan ahead of Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Oscar Robertson, Dr J & Jerry West is insane.

My top ten

1. Wilt Chamberlain

2. Michael Jordan

3. Magic Johnson

4. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

5. Bill Russell

6. Larry Bird

7. Oscar Robertson

8. Jerry West

9. Julius Erving

10. Charles Barkley

Also Isaiah Thomas is too high on the list he isn't in the top 50!!!!

I have him around 7-8. I don't think he's better than MJ, Kareem, Magic, Russell, or Shaq. In my opinion he is a better individual player than Larry Bird was just my opinion. I think the combination of 5 titles, being 6th on the all time scoring list ( will move up), the MVP, finals MVPs, all star MVPs and other achievements has earned him a spot in that elite top 10. I have him at 7-8 right now. He could move up. And honestly the media always tries to find the next Jordan, Well in all fairness even though he's not MJ, Kobe is the closest we have seen to him.

I can't see putting Wilt as the number 1 player. Sure, his stats are nice, but when he went up against his only competition, (BIll Russell) for some reason, he tended to fade away. I'm a huge laker fan(Kobe Fan) and even I would say MJ is number one on that list. Just for what he accomplished on both ends of the court, and his stats. However, Wilt as number 2, I can live with that. Kareem 3, and I know I'll take a hit for it, but Kobe number four. I see Kobe as the best basketball player ever, just not with the accomplishments as MJ had. Talent wise, he's neck and neck with Jordan, but for title of greatest NBA player, those accomplishments have to be considered. Duncan would be next. And although he accomplished a lot, he still hasn't shown me anything. Sure, everyone calls the Spurs garbage, but if thats the case, why does tim avg only 22-25 ppg. Thats because his team picks up the slack around him. Duncan has a very good team, which means the burden of either scoring too much, or grabbing a lot of boards, or blocking a lot of shots doesn't fall on his shoulders alone. Heck, he could go scoreless in a game, and his team would still (probably) win. Talent wise, Duncan isn't on the top 10, but everything considered, I'll give him the 5 spot. Magic, Larry go neck and neck as they always did. Shaq would be next, who I consider the most dominant ever. The Big O, who averaged a triple double for a season can't be ignored, and finally, the Dr. Who I would admit, I didn't get to see a lot of his days in the ABA, so I missed out on a lot, as everyone always says, but its my list, and that means I get to decide who's on it. Of course, you can see the laker bias in the list, but all list have biases.

John Stockton is defintely top 50.

Dan Issel is way too high and Mitch Richmond is not even close to a top 100 player.

Seing Ralph Sampson on that list just makes me laugh.

Sorry, dude, but you need to redo your list or check the stats of some players before throwing them out there.

MJ is the greatest player of all-time.
