Spurs have a better bench, better team.

When the heat beat the spurs, Manu wasn't playing, we didn't have Jackson, Diaw, or Mills. Danny Green and Lenord have improved a lot since Jaunuary. Tony Parker has played better. They blown out OKC, and Lakers. Miami lost to the Lakers and OKC. Miami has a crappy bench, though they don't admit. LeBron will get tried. Wade is old. Bosh never gets the ball, no center.

Spurs may be old, but they won more games then Miami over a compacted season that was supposed to favor younger teams.

Spurs can win because of

1) Coaching. Pop wins over Spo, no problem

2) Point guard. Parker can drive and dish, and the Heat have nobody to cover him.

3) Team. Everyone on the Spurs knows their role, and knows what they need to do. The Heat are still trying to figure out their roles, especially in crunch time.

I'm not saying the Spurs can beat the Heat, if I was a betting man I'd put my money on Miami. But the Spurs definitely have a fighting chance.

The game came down to coaching, preperation, luck & motavation.

Coaching -

Pop employs a pseudo illegal zone to defend LeBron. Sopolstra and the Heat didn't have the offensive patience enough to expose it.

They tried ball movement instead if playing ISO ball with LeBron & Bosh in the post. This leads to rushed shot attempts by the heat.

Preperation-

Pop also had the ability to scout what the Heat enjoyed and Sopolstra didn't change stregedy on the fly. He went with his normal delivery

Luck-

Spurs don't do well against teams with power interior players and they were lucky enough to draw Dirk, Lamarcus, Surge & Bosh which all placed 0 interior pressure on the aging Duncan. It gave him the ability to rest defensively.

Motavation-

The Spirs were able to draw off the heartbreak of the last season which empowered every player top to bottom to sacrifice & perform for the win. They shot 3 almost perfect quarters of basketball.

Legendary series - Comgrars to the Spurs.

They have a better coach and can potentially create better game plans. Heat will likely stick to their style of run and gun while the Spurs will make counters and bring something different.

The Spurs have been outstanding for quite a while now, and I'd have them over the Heat as well.

The Spurs won't beat the Heat unless LeBron chokes it up again like last year. Last year was more about the Heat losing than the Mavericks winning.

Spurs are not going to be able to guard Wade, James, or even Bosh. And the only way they would be able to beat us is if the bench scores 30 a game. (Dallas managed to do it but BARELY managed to beat us)

It's not going to happen sorry.

I believe the question should be: How could the Heat beat the Spurs?

@Bosnian I really think you should stick to Golf or Baseball or whatever the f*ck you're into because you honestly don't seem to know what you're talking about in this section.

@ Kobe, etc. "Timmy is clutch," If you see his face when he gets tired of guys buzzing around him, he WILL make that basket. And when he does, the others get this funny, 'okay, then,' look and they get the flock outa his way!

Trust me on this: Duncan knows how to get people off him. Truly!

ETA: My husband also reminded me: Duncan is also a master of the pump-fake. I've even seen the other guy make that 'really' face when they know he does it and he does it anyway.

I don't think the Spurs could beat Miami Heat but they could beat Chicago Bulls. Tim Duncan still got his skills but he will be slow because he's old & anyone could block Tony Parker & that's what you need. Lebron could watch Tony Parker while Bosh looks out on Tim. It will be a easy game. Lebron he is the beast in the east.

THe heat beat the spurs badly without wade in reg season. Look up wades finals stats and see why spurs have no chance. Anyway they will be tired by then lol.
