Because the god's honest truth is James is better at 24 than Bryant. Hell a 24 year old James is better than a 30 year old Bryant. The only thing that seperates them is the rings, which gets completely overblown. 3 of Kobe's rings were won with Shaq in his prime. Kobe had a huge advantage coming into the NBA going to an already good team. James at 19 was asked to build a team from the ground up and has done that so far. James will have his share of rings. Just because a player has more rings doesn't make him better. By that logic Robert Horry is better than Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, and Karl Malone. We all know that isn't true. Basketball is a team game. Kobe's team was the best this year. Lebron will have years where he is the best. James has more overall skill than Bryant. He is a better finisher, passer, gets much easier shots, rebounder, etc. Kobe is a great player of epic status, but push come to shove Lebron is better. He is only 24 for god sake. Give him time.

Then again they are just fans.

If , for example, Yao Ming scores 70 points, and ESPN draws a poll on whose was better , Yao's 70 or Kobe's 81, who do you think would win?

I say Yao in a landslide. Yao has many supporters in China, and they would go to ESPN to vote, beating the Lakers fans and others.

Let's take this topic to an analyst and they would tell you Kobe's was more better. Why?

Because Kobe did it in a blowout fashion, 61 points (19 made on 31 shots)in less than 40 minutes. he was out with 2 minutes left, and Lakers led by 16 points. Of course, Lakers never scored after Kobe left and the final score was 126-119, did not tell the whole story of the game.

Lebron James had a triple-double in a close game, 5 points to say. It was just enough to win, but because he was chasing accolades (triple-double) it almost cost his team to win the game.

So you see there are different views we could have seen, but what matters is they are 2 great performances.

Lebron James' performance.

Lebron is always exciting to watch.

Lebron was just insane...I mean he didnt get 61 pts...but 9 points shy with a triple double isnt bad.

I think Lebron came in to MSG wanting everyone to stop talking about the previous game, and start talking about him.

ALl the attention on him, and he got it done. He was amazing. He is amazing! He was more fun than Kobe in this game. But Kobe is still amazing as well. 61 pts. only Kobe Bryant can do that now.

But only Lebron can out due him.

2 great individual players!

Yahoo Sports polled showed:

49% thought Kobe's was the best at MSG

26% thought Lebron's was

22% for Jordan

3% for King

and I didn't find this poll you are talking about.

It's from ESPN what do you expect. The only guy there that loves Kobe is Magic and Stephen A. and the rest are sucking Lebron's cock.

Of course he had the better performance. This kid had a triple double wit 52 points. 61 points dont mean sh*t compared to that.

Im not surprised it was from ESPN. They have been hyping Lebron so their viewers are all drawn to him by now.

But im done with arguing with Lebron fans. Always got to prove something against the best player in the league

Half of you in this section said yourselves that you disliked and didn't trust ESPN, now we're expected to? Come on now ppl.

I didn't see the Cavs play, so I'll go with Kobe. Watching him knock down those shots was pure magic.

83% of ESPN voters jumped on the Lebron bandwagon, which will spin out in 2010 when he can't find work after missing every open shot he takes.
