Will Kobe be the greatest player ever after he retires?

Or will he always be that guy who tried to be greater than Jordan but never got there? Or have the media/people have just been scared that another guy will actually be greater than Michael Jordan? Or are they scared that Kobe has a 5-8 year window here to get championships, Finals MVPs and stuff? I think the media/people are just scared that Kobe will be greater than MJ so thats why they hate on him and try to make him look as bad as possible.

Let me put this in perspective for you. Kobe is playing in his 13th season now, in which he's played 100 games a year in most of them. He's not going be an elite level player for much longer. I'm thinking he drops off severly when he's 32, his 15th season, then your going to see his scoring sink to the 20-22 point range. It happens to everyone.



Kobe Bryant's greatest ever chances are slim, but he can still put himself in the top 10 greatest on one condition;



If he has 2 more elite level individual seasons and he leads LA to back to back titles. That will make him, no doubt a top 10 player ever.

Yes. Kobe will be the best of all time when he retires. Hell he will be the best if the Lakers win this year. Kobe would have done it without another hall of famer which is something that MJ or even shaq has not done (yes wade will go to the hall when it's over). He will more than likely pass Jordan in a few categories. It's not too crazy ppl. Even Jordan asid Kobe was more advanced than he was at 18 and kobe has gotten better since 18, unless my eyes were steering me aloof. I do not think they hate Kobe. He has handled himself pretty well, given he was the richest 18 year old of all time. He won't be better than Jordan, just like no one will be better than Joe Montana. The level of competition has increased tremendously. It will be hard for anyone to top the true greats. Remember, Jordan did it in college also.
