Question:
Lakers/Spurs?

Who sees history repeat itself in this round as in last round. The spurs looked horrible and everyone, inclluding me wrote them off that they would lose the series to the hornets. Everyone wrote them off after game two against the lakers and some of you thought sweep, which you would have to be on crack to think was gonna happen.
Once again the spurs looked dominant and unbeatable, making the lakers look lilke the more inferior team, as they did to the hornets. The lakers are too young and the finals I think is not meant to be, and won't happen. The spurs will win in 6 or 7 if necessary and break the lakers hearts, along with their fans.
Don't forget the spurs are the DEFENDING CHAMPS.

Opinions?

When the series started I was picking the Spurs to win.

But you cant compare the Hornets with the Lakers.

The Lakers are far better team than the Hornets, and they have only lost 8 games with Gasol on the lineup. I really doubt they will lose 4 or their next 5. Also only 14 out of like 200 times a team has comeback from 0-2 to win a series. Spurs did it last round, I find it really hard to believe that they will repeat history in the same playoffs.

Lakers will win for advantageous. little question approximately it. the way the Lakers have been enjoying, Kobe, Gasol, Odom, there is not any probability for the Spurs. The Spurs are drained and bear in mind the Lakers are youthful. Who ever wins pastime one will come out ontop!

They are the defending champs....blah blah blah. Big deal, defending champs often screw up the next year. Of course it's something to not be overlooked but that can't go too far. You say that once again they looked dominant and unbeatable and made the Lakers look inferior. Apparently, you didn't see Game 2. And that wasn't luck, that was great basketball too, just like how the Spurs played today.

The Laker's youth will help them because the'll be less tired in games 6 and probably 7. Also the Lakers are very good at home and Phil Jackson is a much better coach than Popovich.

Yeah I was just telling my bro that this is probably gonna be a series like the last Spurs series...

You can never count out the defending champion Spurs.....

I dont care even if Kobe is in the other team (2nd best player ever though)...but the Spurs, collectively, are just superior because of the experience and everything else...

I think it's going to be a good series no matter who wins, (I do think it will be the Spurs).

The Lakers were being owned by the Spurs until fatigue got the better of them in game 1 (without Ginobili to back them up).

Game 2 they just tanked to a team who was confident from a BIG comeback win.

The Spurs put the beatdown on the Lakers again (just like game 1) in game 3 but this time they didn't let up.

If you look at the stats in EVERY game. Parker and Duncan have been constant. Ginobili who injured his ankle in the series with PHX struggled after reinjuring it in the last game with NOH.

The Lakers ONLY player who has been consistent every game is Kobe. They wont bet San Antonio if they can't get consistent game play from anyone but Kobe. The other side to that is playing the Spurs Kobe has to deal with Bowen. Bowen is the ONLY defender in the league who slows his game while keeping off the foul line. In Game 1 Bowen held him to 2 points until he got into foul trouble in the 3rd qtr.

So LA fans don't think this is going to be a cake walk, I know we don't in SA. If you think the Spurs will roll over for you, you will find that someone is planning to rewrite Kobe's script for his movie.
