Im great at 1-1 because of my shooting ball handling and quickness, but im not so sure how to apply that to 5-5 because in 1-1 all you do is just try to score, and that wont work obviosly on 5-5 so what should i do. And also i see kobe bryant and wade go in iso situations many times where they do create shots for themsleves. Like say for example wade does a pull back dribble and shoots, thats something you would do 1-1, so when is the right time to do moves like those in a 5-5 game. I really need to know when to utilize my 1-1 skills 5-5 because if i dont i will always be hesistant in 5-5 games

on 5-5 games its not all about scoring its mostly bout defense you should only shoo when your open on 5-5 games pass the ball around and make sure to hit every open shot

Penetrate the lanes. Thats what Wade,Kobe,Lebron etc do best beating their defender one on one and drawing help defenders and kicking it out to the open man. 1-1 Play can make 5-5 play effective because by beating your man 1-1 you now made the game 4-5 in your favor making it easier for teammates to score. Teams will usually run set plays so if your playing organized basketball if your the best on the team they will run your isolations and set plays for you at your strengths but share the ball dont ball hog. If its just a pick up game do what you want but I always run PG I usually bring up the ball then swing it to the other guard see what he does with it and try to see how I can be effective during the play.

Scoring isnt always whats needed to win especially if your the best you usually can use that to your advantage because the focus will be on you not on teammates which makes it even easier for them to score.

Yea usually 1 on 1 moves are considered a bad shot in 5 on 5s because you have teammates around.

when your teammates arent trying to cut and is waiting for the ball handler to do something, they are usually fine when you do your 1v1 moves.

in 5v5 games, if you are the ball handler, look at your teammates for mismatches, ask for screens, and pass to the cutters.

if you arent the ball handler, start cutting, set screens, or use ur skills to beat your defender

focus on beating one defender at a time and make the right passes when a shot is not available.
