I live in Australia and have liked the NBA for a few years now. I admit that I have bandwagoned around for a couple of years but I want a team I can stick with now. I specifically don't want to go for a team that has an excessive amount of fans as I don't want to be labelled a bandwagon fan, however I do want to follow a good and winning team. Any ideas?

Well, I have to ask one question...

Is there any teams or players you particularly like?

Trailblazers, Sonics, Jazz and Clippers.. to me don't have many fans.

You could also check out stats. to help make your decision.

well, i rather you learn a little about the history of each team. then watch EVERY team for a couple of games. you'll take a liking to a certain team... then.. support them all the way. some suggestions here are quite good. esp the Mil Bucks one. bogut is an aussie. and that team is not exactly the team peeps root for.

i live in SG. you may say its a little near australia. i started supporting the lakers as my dad watched them in the past. then i was young and didnt know nothing about the other teams, etc. so as i watched them, i started taking my fancy towards them. later on, as i grew older and knew much more about the nba, i simply thought thelakers was really a team i loved. i wont count myself a bandwagoner. i started reading about the history of the lakers. i felt so proud of my team's history and wished i grew up in la, so that i have all reason to show others why i'm not a bandwagoner.

yeap, thats my story of how i became a fan of a club i support.

seriously, u dont have to be wprried about supporting a good team. just have an open mind and watch games.

Hello!

Since you live in Australia, why not support your very own Aussie NBA player Andrew Bogut? His team fits the bill since they are in a relatively small city (which is Milwaukee) compared to its counterparts. You won't be labeled bandwagon fan since there are few Milwaukee Bucks supporters (and dissers) here. Actually, the team looks good esp. after acquiring Richard Jefferson and drafting Joe Alexander. Michael Redd and Charlie V. is also with the team. I can see them making the playoffs this year so that is something to cheer about.

That's it! From now on, Go Milwaukee!

Well if you're looking for a team without too many fans try the Thunder.

But seriously, the Trail Blazers. You don't have to choose them, but there's no reason not to like them.

Watch at least a game or two of most teams, not just the 8 teams that are always on ESPN, then make your choice.

wow.. great question. well, uhm, you say a good winning team here's what comes to mind:

lakers - they have huge fan base, really, and KOBE is there. nuff said

cleveland - ohio fans are not really that much of a bball fan, so here's a good team with less amount of fan base. plus if you like LeBron, this is your team

celtics - they just won the chip, they have the "big three".

mavs/suns - they're prolly the most consistent good teams in the league

bulls/miami heat - they are rebuilding right now. adding young talents in their respective rosters..

den nuggets - if you like great offense, this is your team.

bucks - andrew bogut's team. there's a saying, love your own, right?

gs warriors - like the nuggets, they're a great offensive team, plus they've got the laudest crowds in the L.

new orleans hornets - they've got the best point guard in the league right now.

lol at The Miami Heat will rock you ..but anyway he's right about the Pistons most of our fans have been fans for a long time and not to many bandwagoners and we will continue to be a good team for a long time ..i feel a championship comming on next season

Go for Detroit. NBA powerhouse with less fans than Lakers or Celtics. I bet they might even win the title this year. Half the world's basketball fans are Kobe fans, Celtics have 3 times more fans than LeBron and Wade combined, but Detroit has what? They even have less fans than LeBron.

the hornets don't have too many fans. the trailblazers also look like they're gonna surprise a few folks. but if you're after a team with a winning tradition, then there's really only two - the lakers and the celtics.

I've been a loyal fan of the Dallas Mavericks even through the upsets. I'm also a fan of the Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets.

Since you're a Packer fan, and they're from wisconsin, choose the bucks, they from wisconsin, too. plus, they have Andrew Bogut, whose also an aussie.
