Question:
Are these good reason for why kobe is better than jordan?

if jordan is better tell me why.
1.Michael Jordan, for some reason I'll never know, briefly stepped away from the game to pursue a professional baseball career.

He also retired in 1998, not because his Chicago Bulls had just won their sixth NBA Championship, but because he knew his team was falling apart.

Dennis Rodman was on his way out, and so was Scottie Pippen.

Kobe Bryant, on the other hand, has stuck with the Lakers throughout his entire career and will finish it where he started it.

Bryant has been on his grind in Los Angeles since 1996 and is still going strong 15 consecutive seasons later.
2. Jordan has 83.5 percent from the line for his career, just behind Kobe's 83.8 percent.

Bryant also has the slight edge in three-point shooting, at 34.1 percent to Jordan's 32.7 percent.
3. During his time with the Lakers, Kobe Bryant has had several players come and go.

But the one guy who has been there (aside from a few years) for the long haul is Derek Fisher.

And with all due respect to Fisher, he's no Scottie Pippen.

Fisher's career averages: 9 points, 3.2 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game.

Pippen's career averages: 16.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 2 steals per game, including four seasons in Chicago in which he averaged more than 20 points.
Pippen is one of the greatest sidekicks in NBA history. Fisher? Good, but not Pippen good
4. Every NBA superstar has to deal with personnel changes around them. It's just something that's part of the game.
And even though both Jordan and Bryant have seen their fair share of teammates, Bryant has seen more personnel changes than Jordan ever did.
Bryant's played with so many different players, from Smush Parker to Kwame Brown to Shaquille O'Neal to Gary Payton and Karl Malone to Ron Artest to Adam Morrison.
But Bryant has managed to win despite fighting through some key inconsistencies in his supporting cast.
5.bryant played in a tougher era. Bryant had to deal with the San Antonio Spurs—a mini-dynasty themselves—as well as teams like the Detroit Pistons.I dont need to remind you how tough it was playing against bruce bowen.
6.Michael Jordan has five career regular season MVP awards while Kobe Bryant has just one.
Does that really mean that Bryant was only the best player in the league for one full season?
No, of course it doesn't.
The MVP award is overrated and misleading, unless you really think the careers of Dirk Nowitzki and Allen Iverson have been as good as Bryant's.
7. The age-old argument against Kobe Bryant used to be that "he only won three titles because of Shaq."
Well, fast forward to 2010, and Bryant has more titles (five) than Shaq (four) and was the star of those two teams while Shaq played second fiddle to Dwyane Wade.
Bryant averaged at least 25 points, five assists and five rebounds every season during the Lakers three-peat from 2000-02.
8. I know what you're thinking: Michael Jordan doesn't play through injuries? What?
Well, after the 1986 season when he broke his foot and missed 64 games, Jordan never really suffered through debilitating injuries like Kobe Bryant has.
Of course, he dominated throughout his career despite smaller injuries, and there was the famous "flu game" in the 1997 NBA Finals.
But let's look at the bigger picture.
Bryant has had three knee surgeries—including one this summer—and he played through pinkie and index finger injuries that required Bryant to shoot with a heavily bandaged hand.
9. In recent years, this debate generally comes down to Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson.
Who's the best Laker ever? Well, even if you think that Magic is better, the fact that Bryant is even part of the conversation is a testament to all of his accomplishments.
The Lakers are the greatest organization (sorry, Celtics) in the history of the sport, and Bryant is arguably the greatest player ever to wear the purple and gold.
That's saying something.
10. Kobe Bryant has had guys like Shaq, Pau Gasol, Fisher, Lamar Odom, etc.

But Jordan played with three All-Stars (Pippen, Rodman and Horace Grant), two of the NBA's best defenders (Rodman and Pippen), one of the league's 50 greatest players of all-time (Pippen) and two good three-point shooters (Toni Kukoc and Steve Kerr).
Jordan actually had more help than Bryant.

1. Jordan's dad was murdered and he wanted to play baseball, because that's the sport his dad imagined him becoming you heartless bastard.

2. If you're going to say that Kobe is better than MJ, because Kobe shot .3% better from the free throw line, take a look at these other stats.

Jordan- 30.1 points per game Kobe- 25.4 points per game

Jordan- 5.3 assists per game Kobe- 4.8 assists per game

Jordan- 6.2 rebounds per game Kobe- 5.1 rebounds per game

Jordan- 49.7 field goal percentage Kobe- 44.8 field goal percentage

3. Jordan may have played with a super sidekick, but Kobe played with someone whose better than him. When Kobe and Shaquille O'Neal played together, Shaq averaged more points per game, rebounds per game and shot a high percentage from the field.

4. Other than Pippen, Jordan also had to play with a bunch of different players. Pippen was the only other player on the Bulls to be a part of all 6 championships.

5. The beginning of Jordan's career coincided with the Lakers AND Celtics dynasties, in the middle of his career there was the Pistons mini-dynasty. The only reason that weren't any more dynasties was that the Bulls became just too dominant.

6. You can't always tell who the better player was by judging how many MVPs they won since the MVP award isn't always given to the best player. This is why I went back and looked at who should've won the MVP each year. Jordan should've won at least 8 MVP awards while Kobe only deserved to win 2.

7. Kobe is better than Shaq now, but the fact still is that Shaq was better than Kobe when they played together. As I said earlier, Shaq scored more points, grabbed more rebounds and shot a much higher percentage from the field.

8. Jordan scored a playoff record 63 points right after returning from a broken foot. Jordan scored 38 points in the "Flu Game" when he could barely stand up during timeouts.

9. Are you trying to argue that Kobe is better than Magic too? Magic averaged more assists, rebounds and shot a higher percentage from the field.

10. Kobe played with Shaq who is one of the 10 greatest players to ever live, Karl Malone who is one of the 20 greatest players to ever live, a perennial All-Star in Pau Gasol, 6th Man of the Year Lamar Odom and Derek Fisher who is one of the most clutch players in NBA history. Kobe has had a much better supporting cast, but Jordan has still won more championships.

I honestly do not care if he ever surpasses Jordan because the excellent ever. I'd alternatively take the 2 to 3 extra jewelry he would win. That's to not say you should not have a few legitimate facets. However they are combined in with no longer so legitimate facets. "three. Jordan in no way performed with a expert or dominate colossal guy." Yeah he most effective had Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant, Dennis Rodman, Toni Kukoc... If Jordan had performed with Shaq I guarentee you he shouldn't have 6 Finals MVP's. "four. Michael Jordan performed in probably the most bodily Era in NBA historical past" Not actual. Jordan received his titles within the ninety's... the eighty's and the 70's, 60's have been way more bodily. "eight. MJ's technology was once a Man's sport in comparison to Kobe's technology in which the Refs are little one-sitting SuperStars and Pre-Madonnas." Jordan was once covered at all times. He was once given many advantages on each ends of the court docket. It's an unwritten rule, however NBA stars have continuously been covered. "eleven. Big guys in Jordan's Era can sit down and camp within the paint in contrast to state-of-the-art regulations." Nope. Offensive three-moment violations have been announced in 1944-1945 season. Three moment regulations have been in end result in Jordan's technology as good. Illegal security was once alternatively nebulous rule that's referred to as irregularly. It's designed to avert using the zone security; it¹s extra like a three-moment violation for the security, wherein no defender can keep within the lane for greater than, good, three seconds. They obtained rid of the Illegal security rule in 2001-2002 Even after declaring all that... I nonetheless consider Jordan might not be exceeded by way of Kobe. But I nonetheless do not see the cause to evaluate. They are very one-of-a-kind avid gamers. Whether individuals appreciate that or no longer, is a testomony to their degree of aimless debating.

1. He retired for baseball because his father passed away, and always dreamed of his son becoming a baseball player.....

2. Kobe threatened to leave lakers several times and has had media outbursts about them, he isnt as loyal as he seems.

3. MJ's stats dominate kobes besides 3s.

4. Phil Jackson, your great teams coach, said MJ was better then Kobe, alot better.

5. Kobe has been in the NBA much longer then Jordan, and still cant match his success.

6. Kobe broke one little finger, you have 10 of them. Jordan broke his foot, you only have 2 of them and you need both to walk...

Kind of hard playing basketball on crutches, I dont think Kobe has done that, do you?

Jordan = Efficient

Bryant = Selfish

Field Goal percentage tells it all. One night kobe could score 30+ the other night 15+.

Jordan isn't like that. He stays consistent and within his limit about 25+ per game (which is outstanding) unlike Kobe who abuses himself by taking unwanted shots most the time

Kobe is kind of better and he scored 30+ points for over 30 games and 40 for over 20 he has consistency and they were consecutive games

Jordan didn't really have much competition. There weren't as many superstars back then as now. Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, MJ then I run out. Today Kobe, LeBron, Wade, Dwight, CP3, etc.
