no questions about it. tim duncan. here are some of the great pf's in the league, bosh, sheed, jermaine, okafor, dwight, jamison, dirk, gasol ,kg, boozer, brand, amare. none of these guys, except for sheed (one championship) has won an nba title. duncan has more championships than all of these great pfs combined. plus, multiple all nba first team, all star, finals mvp, season mvp, all defensive team, he has them all. maybe hes won the championship because of the help of popovich and has a better supporting cast, but he is the most complete pf in the nba. bosh is soft, sheed doesnt dominate the paint, okafor injury prone, dwight, dsnt have the jumpshot, jamison dsnt have defense, dirk dsnt have defense, gasol is injury prone, kg lacks the bulk to be a pf, boozer is injury prone, brand dsnt have the height 6'8", amare dsnt have "great d". i dont see a weakness in duncan except for maybe ft's, but ft's is a common weakness for pf's, he is in the all nba first and all defensive team, only he and kobe are. thats why he is the best.

Tim Duncan season stats:

20.0 ppg, 10.6 rpg 3.4 apg

Kevin Garnett season stats:

22.4 ppg 12.8 rpg 4.1 apg

Dont hate on KG just because Kevin McHale surrounded hime with crap and they dont have a team that could beat some college basketball teams. Dont forget about him also having the most double doubles 2 seasons (if not more) in a row, and being the rebound champ, and timmy hasnt gont 20,10,5 for 5 seasons in a row. they are both good, but KG is a better athlete.

Oh, and the MVP award is a joke. KG has won it once, when did he win it? The only year the wolves were good. They should rename it "The best player this season award"..because if we are going by "most valuable" I dont know who is more valuable to their team than KG/Kobe and AI before he went to Denver. Wolves/Lakers/76ers would be lost if those players got hurt for the rest of a season. If your team is good, and you have a good season, and you're a big name, you have the chance to win it. Has nothing to do with how valuable you are to your team.

Tim Duncan, hands down. His scoring, rebounding and defense put him at the head of the class. And his three rings (soon to be four) are all the proof that is needed. Not quite as flashy as some of the other superstars, but I'll take the trophies and titles and let those other guys get the shoe commercials.

I agree. Duncan is unappreciated. Maybe the finals will serve to highlight Duncan for casual viewers or viewers who tuned in to watch LeBron.
